Perfection

I met a girl, in the most unexpected place, at the most unexpected time

It was October 9th, 2015 and I have basically given up dating, I had 2 ads on craigslist and was getting a decent amount of replies but no one worth writing home about.

Out of the Craigslist replies, I met with 2 different ladies. I picked up lady number one a week before October 9th and it was a pretty interesting date, I called her a few times and then just kind of lost touch. I then met lady number 2 a few days later and saw her about 3 times until she decided I wasn't "Moving fast enough" and that was the end of that.

On October 9th I gave into finally joining OKCupid......I spent the majority of the night sending a pre-written greeting to anyone I was interested in talking to, I only ended up getting one reply back.

That one reply changed my life forever! We messaged back and forth for about a few hours, these messages were extremely detailed, kept the conversation going, and we're very interesting and fun to read! After that we started texting and it just skyrocketed from there!

This was completely new to me, I wasn't used to things going that well (especially from OKCupid). We ended up talking literally all day the next day! We had so much to say, so much to discuss, so much to discover!

We arranged to meet on October 12th at a Starbucks in Seattle around 8pm, so of course I had basically no sleep that night. 8am on rolls around...and lady number 1 calls me out of the blue telling me that she's sorry she blew me off and acted rude, telling me she loves video games, and loves EDM. It all sounded like talk to me (isn't this how things always go?). Regardless, I told her to call me back when she knew if she could meet later that day, before 8 (maybe we arranged for 7), but anyways, lady number 1 calls me that afternoon and I just let it ring. I've had this feeling ever since I got off with lady number 1 not to go through with meeting her. After she called I talked it over with the most incredible girl in the world, and decided not to go through with it. I tell you what, that was the best decision of my life! Always go with your gut!

Now enough with the backstory!

We had plans to meet at a Starbucks, But I didn't feel like that would be the gentlemanly thing to do, I asked if she would be ok with having me pick her up at her place. I'll never forget this, she told me that she normally doesn't let people she hasn't met do that, but we had such an undeniably strong connection she made an exception for me!

I saw her walk to me in her red shirt and was hypnotized by how beautiful she looked! We were both very nervous for actually seeing each other for the first time...but here's the thing, it wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest. We had so much in common and she had the most kind eyes and most adorable laugh, nothing else mattered!

We walked down to start bucks and got some Black & White Hot Chocolates and continued to chat until we got kicked out of the outside portion of Starbucks.

We then made a spontaneous decision to walk to GasWorks park and sit on the hill and just talk, I revealed a decent amount about myself that night, I just had no worries with her and complete comfortability!

After I basically started to freeze to death, we walked back to my car and drove over to Card Kingdom where we played board games for hours...including Exploding Kittens!

Needless to say, it was single most comfortable and most fun first date I have ever had! We then continued to talk non-stop since then!

She makes me feel complete. her laugh brings me so much joy, her gaze traps me for hours, her personality keeps me entertained.

Literally, no one will ever surpass her, she surpassed all of my "expectations" in my dream girl and more!

Lauren is just perfect for me :)
